    What is the ACT?

The ACT is a test used by colleges and universities for admissions purposes.  It allows colleges and universities to compare students academically across the nation.

What is tested on the ACT?

The ACT covers five components; English, Mathematics, Reading, Science, and Writing.

    Who should take the ACT?

College-bound juniors have to take either the SAT or the ACT for college admissions.  If students choose to take the ACT, they should take it at the end of their junior year.  They can also take the test again at the beginning of their senior year.
