     Binders and Notebooks 
     
    All students must have the required 2 notebooks (Expert Journal and  Writing) for my class. In addition to the notebooks, a binder is required to ensure that all students are keeping important handouts to use as a resource during assignments, as well as returned/graded  assignments that will help in keeping track of their grade.  Periodic checks will be done to make sure that procedures for these are followed.
     
    Daily Expectations 
     
    Students are expected to read the whiteboard outside my door to make sure that they have all materials needed to be prepared for the day.  Failure to do so will result in a classroom/team consequence.   
     
    A daily DLP ( Daily Language Practice) will be up on the screen for each student to complete.  There will be a 5 pt mini-quiz each Friday based on the skills that were worked on in these activities.
     
    Students are expected to be respectful of themselves and others at all times.  Failure to do so WILL result in a team consequence or office referral if needed.
     
    Homework Policy 
     
    Although many of our lessons and work will be started and possibly completed in class, students will frequently have work to complete at home.  I will post any homework and/or quizzes through Harmony.  Please make sure that you have your password to access Harmony to monitor work and your child's grades.
     
     
    Late homework will be accepted ONLY ONE DAY LATE   for 1/2 the credit.  If your child is absent, then he or she will have 1-2 days to complete the work for as many days as they were absent.  It will depend on the length of the assignment to how much time will be given.
