           Happy Teacher  
       Hello!  I am Mrs. Harrington, and I am so glad that you are a part of our class this year! I would like to tell you a little bit about myself.  To start, I am so excited to be teaching fourth grade this year! This is my 15th year teaching but ninth year teaching fourth grade here at Liberty Elementary. I taught fifth grade one year and four years at Hobart Middle School teaching sixth grade language arts and social studies, two subjects I absolutely LOVE! I have also helped start and run a program called Natural Helpers at our middle school and was one of the sponsors for FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) at the high school.

     

     I grew up in Valparaiso and went to Valparaiso High School. For college, I graduated from Indiana University (go Hoosiers!!!), and I finished my masters degree in administration from Indiana State University. I have been married for eleven years to my wonderful husband, Ryan. We have a 7 year old son named Connor and a four year old named Reed. We absolutely love them!! I am very close to my parents who live in Valparaiso. I have a brother and sister, and they each have two children in grade school. My family is all very close.

     

       In my free time I love to be outside and being in or around water.  I love kayaking, whitewater rafting, hiking, swimming in the summer, and snow skiing in the winter.  I really enjoy traveling to new places.  I spent the summer learning to be a mom and raced in my first triathlon.  I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends, watching movies, listening to music, and reading.
