•        My name is Samantha Klaich, and I'm so happy to be here at Liberty.  I received my bachelor's degree from Purdue Calumet, and recently graduated with my master's degree from Indiana Wesleyan University.  This will be my 10th year teaching in Hobart.
            I grew up in Griffith, but now live in Crown Point with my husband, my son and my dog. My husband's name is Michael, and my son's name is Michael Jr., he is seven years old.  My dog's name is Kookie, and she is a Bichon Frise. 
         In high school, I played softball, basketball and ran cross-country.  I later went on to play softball at Marian College in Indianapolis.  I've enjoyed playing softball so much, that in 2007 I helped coach the Andrean girls softball team.  That year we went on to be state champs!! What an awesome experience!
         I enjoy spending time with my family and love to watch movies.  My favorite movie of all time is "Pride and Prejudice".  I also enjoy reading books in my spare time.  My favorite children's author is J.K. Rowling.  I love the Harry Potter series! 
         I am so excited to be teaching first grade.  I can't wait to meet you!  Welcome to my classroom.
