    The Game Plan
    These pictures show us students playing games afterschool in their library.  But The Game Plan is more than that.  We choose our games based on educational merit.  That means that students are palying age appropriate tabletop games that help them with skills they are strengthening in school, all while refining social skills.  We change our game selection up often and are always introducing something new.  We have a Logic Table that is for solitaire play and challenges students logic and processing skills.  It is a marvelous foray of games that provide our students with options for fun, learning and socializing that do not require technology.  Members share the responsibility of teaching new members the games.  It is a student led program and it empowers our kids to be leaders.  Currently, it is offered to grades 3 and 4 at Joan Martin.
