    I am a product of the School City of Hobart.  My education began at Mundell Elementary School, Hobart Middle School, and Hobart High School.  I earned a degree in Elementary Education from Ball State University and a Masters Degree from Indiana Wesleyan University.  I also have an Administration License from Indiana Wesleyan University.  
     
    My husband is a fifth grade teacher at Merrillville Intermediate School.  We are proud parents to a daughter and a son. Tiny is the newest addition to our family. He is a shih tzu puppy.

    I started my teaching career at Polk School in Lake Station teaching fourth grade.  I then taught first grade at Liberty Elementary School in Chesterton and second grade at Joan Martin School in Hobart. I was the principal at George Earle School before coming back to Joan Martin in the fall of 2010.

     
    As a little girl I knew when I grew up I wanted to be an educator.  I am living my dream!  I am 100% committed to the staff, students, and families of Joan Martin School.
