     Student Council
     
    Mrs. Bullington and Miss Sieffert are the sponsors of our Student Council.  They are working hard with a group of students in a variety of projects.  Elected by their peers are two representatives from each third, fourth, and fifth grade classroom and Student Council officers.  They are learning many leadership skills.
     
    The Student Council meets weekly to plan their events and projects.  Their biggest project is the Holiday Baskets.  The students organize and collect canned goods and non-perishable items from each classroom.  The officers and fifth grade representatives go with the principals, sponsors, and members of the PTO to buy perishable items.  They then arrange and pack the items at the Hobart Food Pantry.  What a wonderful feeling of using the Lifeskill of Caring!  
     
    The Student Council will be promoting a fundraiser for Riley's Childrens' Hospital this spring.  The Student Council members will sell paper red wagons for 50 cents each.  All money is donated to Riley's Hospital in Indianapolis.
