Non Fiction Writing- In this unit the children learn how to write an "All About" story. The story is written about a subject the children are "experts" in. Fun Facts, Diagrams, Different Kinds Of, and a Table of Contents is included in this writing project. The children will also write a "How To" story which explains the steps on how to complete a certain task.Click on the links below for the various templates we use in the units.Friendly Letter Writing-In this unit the children learn the specific format for letters. We practice writing to our 4th Grade Buddies, friends, and relatives that live out of town.Small Moment Writing- In this unit the children write about a small moment of their day. Examples include: Getting Ready for School, On the Bus Ride To School, During Lunch.Rubrics- The links below are the assessment tools I will use in order to grade the students' writing. This gives the student a clear idea what I will be looking for in their story.
