• History of George Earle Elementary


     

    Our school is named after the founder of Hobart. George Earle was born in Falmouth, Corwall, England in 1807. He purchased land which belonged to the Pottawatomie Indian tribe. George Earle was an architect and builder. Our town, established in 1847, is named after George Earle's brother, Frederick Hobart Earle.

    Our school is known for its caring learning environment and focus on student success. Enrollment: approximately 275 students in full day kindergarten, 35 students in Early Childhood Development, over 75 families in Parents As Teachers.
