Visitors & Volunteers

The School City of Hobart values volunteerism! Volunteering includes supervising, assisting, or working with any children in our school, i.e. study trips, classroom parties, PTO activities, etc. To continue to provide your child a safe environment, the School City of Hobart has implemented a volunteering system.

If you would like to volunteer in the future at one of the schools in the district, you must stop at your school of choice at least 2 weeks prior to volunteering . A valid, government-issued photo identification (driver's license/State I.D.) will be scanned against state and national sex offender registries and then the system will automatically input your information which will then be sent to the Administration office for a criminal history check. You will only need to do this step at one of the schools in which you want to volunteer. However, please know that once this process is complete, you must continue to bring in a valid ID every time you volunteer at any of our schools. 

You will be informed of your status regarding your volunteer efforts when the process is complete.

We must express to please make sure to come in at least 2 weeks prior to volunteering. If your criminal background check is not complete at the time of volunteering, you will not be allowed to volunteer.
