• Hometown Heroes
    Each month at Joan Martin we celebrate "Reaching Above and Beyond" by honoring six GOLDEN TICKET winners.  Any student can earn a golden ticket by going above and beyond.  Any staff member can give a student a Golden Ticket.  Students have received them for turning in money that was found, being a good friend to a younger child on the bus, helping a teacher on their lunch time and many many more.  Children put the tickets in the Golden Ticket Box in their pod and then wait and hope that their name is drawn by the Hometown Hero.  As a reward those six children go out to dinner with the principals.
