• Congratulations to all the senior students in the PLTW Biomedical Science Course who competed in the Calumet Regional Science Fair!

The Biomed class senior students came away with many awards including state qualification.

Jasmine Suarez and Aimee Pope received the Hosak award for project excellence, U.S. Army Certificate of Achievement, Bronze Director's Award and qualified to go down for the SEFI State Science Fair. Their project focused on acceleration and softball.

Madeline Jewell also received a Bronze Director's Award and U.S. Army Award package.  She also received the U.S. Air Force Award and 4th place for the St. Anthony sponsored ranking.  She also placed 4th in the Senior Division and has qualified to go down to state. Her project focused on the hygiene of blade dryers.

State qualification and the Saint Anthony award also came with a monetary award of $25.00.

This was a very impressive first showing at the regional fair for all of the students.

These projects would not have been possible without the PLTW Biomedical Science Course.
