    "Diggin' for a Cure!"

    Our Lady Brickies took to the court against a rival team, Hanover Central, only the atmosphere wasn't competitive. It was inspiring. On this night their theme was "Dig Pink" and the night focused on cancer awareness. With the team and parents hosting bake sales, selling roses and pink shirts they were able to raise money for a cancer organization. They decorated the gym with pink streamers, balloons and most importantly cancer survivors, fighters and loved ones supporting those that had lost the fight. Before the start of the Varsity game cancer survivors and those that have lost their lives to cancer were honored. Some were escorted by a Brickie while others were remembered with a moment of silence. Congratulations to the Brickie volleyball team for raising money and bringing awareness to something that impacts so many! The night was educational, inspirational and to one survivor, very precious to her.
