• Mark Leto Ext 8146 Classroom/8208 athletic training room

Hi! My name is Mark Leto and I currently teach Freshman Health, Sports Medicine, and Project Lead the Way Human Body Systems. I am also the athletic trainer for the high school.  This is my 15th year teaching and my 20th year as an athletic trainer with the school corporation.

I graduated from Hobart High School in 1984 and attended Ball State University. I doubled majored in Health Education and Athletic Training. While attending Ball State I interned with the Indianapolis Colts as a student athletic trainer. My first year out of college, I worked for an orthopedic surgeons group in Muncie. Working for the physicians was a great opportunity, but in the winter of 1990 I was offered a season internship with the Colts.  In 2002 I came back to Hobart and started working for Saint Mary Medical Center Health and Rehabilitation Spectrum. In 1998 I was hired by the Hobart School City as a middle school teacher. In 1999 I moved to the high school where I taught P.E. for one year until moving into the my current area of Health.

I volunteered for the United States Olympic Center in Colorado Springs, CO and in 1999 I was selected as a staff athletic trainer for a pre-Olympic event in San Diego, CA. In 2000 I served as the North athletic trainer for the North/South All Star Football game.

I recently finished my Master's degree in Education and Administration through Ball State University and I am a reserve police officer for the Hobart Police Department.

I am married to my wife Aimee, who is a dental hygienist. We have one son, Ryan and a daughter, Sydney. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, hunting, and reading.
