Welcome to Miss Trcka's Webpage!
Hello! My name is Jessica Trcka, and I currently teach Health and Safety, Allied Health, and Fundamentals of Sports Medicine through the Porter County Career Center. I also serve as an assistant athletic trainer for the school corporation. This is my first year teaching after graduating Ball State University with a double major in School Health Education and Athletic Training in May 2014.
I graduated Hobart High School in 2010 and then went on to pursue my degrees at Ball State University. I was honored to receive the one and only Jack Cramer Scholarship in 2010 from the National Athletic Trainers' Association for the entire country who had an active role with athletic training at the high school level that planned to pursue an education and athletic training degree. In addition, I was selected to serve as the student representative on the Executive Council for the Indiana Athletic Trainers' Association and serve on the student senate for the Great Lakes Athletic Trainers' Association for the 2012-2014 term. During the summer of 2013, I was the intern student athletic trainer for the Gary SouthShore RailCats. Since college, I served as an athletic trainer in the North/South All-Star Softball game.
I reside in Hobart with my parents and dog named Oscar. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, working out, and watching sports, especially my favorite sport, baseball. I look forward to my first year back at Hobart working as a teacher-athletic trainer!
