    Darrin graduated from Lancaster High School in Lancaster, Ohio. He went on to the University of Cincinnati to get his BS in Chemical Engineering and worked for three years as a process and environmental engineer in the chemical industry.  He pursued his education certification and Masters in Education at Purdue University.

    Darrin has received The HHS Teacher of the Year Award in 2004, The National Society of High School Scholars Educator of Distinction, and Who's Who in American High School Teachers (3 nominations). 

    Darrin serves as the Academic Teams Coordinator and coached the Academic Superbowl math team to state championships in both 2003 and 2005.  Under his leadership, the Quiz Bowl team also had two top-three state finishes and placed 21st in a national tournament in 2004.  He is an FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) co-sponsor. He also likes traveling, hiking, and biking.
