Brickies slice the Slicers

The Brickies pulled off a 27-21 win in a close game against the La Porte Slicers to go 2-0 in the regular season. Friday night's game was postponed to Saturday night due to weather conditions. The Brickies started off slow and were down 21-7 at half-time. Hobart seemed to come out more intense in the second half. Nick Bokun made a spectacular catch which set the tone for the half. Hobart tied it up 21-21 to go into overtime where Junior Noah Smith ran in the game-winning touchdown.
Monday morning's JV game did not go as well as the Brickies wanted. Hobart failed to gain the victory to go 2-0 when they lost to La Porte's JV team, 23-13. Ramon Gonzales and Kelvin Labreck scored the two touchdowns for the Brickies.
Be sure to come out Friday night to support the 2-0 Brickies as they take on conference rival the Griffith Panthers. The game will be at Griffith and kickoff time will be at 7 pm. JV will play the next morning at 10 am at home.
