I have been married to my husband, Mike, for 20 years. We have two children. Our daughter, Meghan, a Senior here at HHS, is a Cheerleader, Gymnast, and throws shot put and discus. Our son, Aaron, a 7th grader at Hobart Middle School, plays football, basketball, and little league baseball. My husband and I coach them as often as we are able to. They definitely keep us busy!I was born in Hobart and have lived here all my life. I went to St. Bridget School for preschool through 8th grade and then continued on to Hobart High School. While at HHS, I was a cheerleader and cheered for several State Champion Brickie football teams and the 1992 sectional champion basketball team. I was also an active member of Genesius Players and had performing roles in several HHS productions. My husband, Mike--a Brickie football player and wrestler-- and I both graduated from Hobart High School in 1992.After my time as a student at HHS, I continued my education at Indiana University Northwest. I majored in Elementary Education (1st-6th grades) and Minored in Learning Disabilities (K-12) and Cognitive Disabilities (K-12). At the end of my college studies, I student taught at Hobart's Joan Martin Elementary School, and in 1996, I graduated from IUN with high academic distinction ranking among the top 10 students in the entire school of education.I began my teaching career with 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students at Hanover Central Middle School in Cedar Lake, Indiana. I taught at HCMS for 10 years before having the opportunity to come back home to teach at Hobart High School in 2005. I am enjoying every moment that I am honored to be a part of the amazing staff here at Hobart High School!I look forward to meeting and getting to know you, OR continuing to work with you again this year as your teacher :)
