    Couse Description:
    Grades 11-12
    AP Chemistry is a fast-paced course that provides an opportunity for highly motivated high school students to pursue college-level work.  Students will have satisfactorily completed two semesters of chemistry to be admitted.  The course is structured to follow the curriculum prescribed by the College Board in preparation for the National AP Chemistry examination.  The course will be modeled after a typical college chemistry course. 
    The primary focus of study will include molecular structure & bonding, chemical kinetics & concepts of equilibrium, electrochemistry and energy changes occuring in reactions.  The course will move quickly and require a good deal of preparation outside the classroom.
    Prerequisite: Chemistry I
    A Core 40 & AHD course (Advanced Chemistry)
