Head Coach
Kriste Bell
Kriste is a Hobart High School and Indiana University Graduate. She and her husband, Mike, are both life long Brickies and Hobart residents with their two children. Kriste was a cheerleader for the Hobart Brickies all four years of high school and was privileged to cheer for the Brickies (and her husband) during the peak of Hobart Football's state championship runs in 1989, 1990, and 1991. Kriste has actively coached all facets of cheerleading for over 20 years. She has been an educator for 21 years spending her first 10 years teaching at Hanover Central Middle School where she coached the 7th and 8th grade cheerleaders until 2005. In 2005, Kriste came back home to teach at Hobart High School. During her first several years at Hobart High School, she coached Hobart Pop Warner cheer taking three different teams to the Pop Warner Cheerleading Nationals in Orlando, Florida. At the completion of her pop warner coaching, she became USASF Certified in competitive Allstar cheerleading and coached for several years, levels, and age groups at a local all star gym. During the 2013-14 school year Kriste began as an assistant coach for the Hobart Varsity Cheerleaders. After working as the assistant assistant coach for 2 years, Kriste took over the Hobart cheer program and is excited to begin her 2nd year helm of Hobart High School Cheerleading. Kriste is currently ACCAA Certified in cheerleading safety, an Accredited NFHS Cheerleading coach, a Nationally Certified NFHS Cheerleading Coach, and IASP Spirit trained Coach.
ASSISTANT COACH
Gayle Benton
Gayle Benton, her husband, and 4 children also live in Hobart. Gayle has been involved in Hobart Cheerleading for many years dating back to coaching in Hobart Pop Warner with both of her daughters were young. As she came to a close in her years as a Pop Warner coach, Gayle transitioned in to the past 6 years where she was the JV Coach at Hobart High School. Gayle is continuing to work as an assistant to the head coach for her second year. Gayle currently works at Hobart High School in student supervision.

Jessica Smith
Jessica Smith is also a former Brickie Cheerleader. In addition to cheering for Hobart Pop Warner and Hobart High School, Jessica was also a cheerleader at Indiana University Northwest. Jessica comes to Hobart with 6 years coaching experience in both sideline and competitive cheer. Her experience includes coaching her Hobart Pop Warner team to the Pop Warner Cheerleading Nationals in Orlando, Florida. Jessica has been married to her husband Austin for one year. She works as a Registered Medical Assistant at St. Mary Medical Center in Hobart. Jessica very excited to start her second year coaching at Hobart High School this year.
