ADVANCED PLACEMENT CALCULUS
Welcome to Mr. Brumley's advanced placement calculus web page. A.P. calculus is the highest level mathematics course taught at Hobart high school. As an A.P. course, it is taught at a college level and students will take the A.P. Exam in May to earn possible college credit. Requirements include successful completion of honors trigonometry and teach recommendation.
Topics covered include limits, derivatives, applications of derivatives in the form of related rates, minima and maxima, graphing using the derivative features, integration, applications of integration including area and volume, and use of a graphing calculator.
NOTE: The course may be taken as a dual credit course through Purdue North Central.
