This year's Brain Bee took place at IUN on Feburary 8th. The Psychology Department administered the questions to students from four different schools: Andrean, Hanover Central, Hobart, and Michigan City. The students were given a multiple choice test at the beginning of the competition. The top three students from each school were selected to answer questions individually from the proctor. Because the Hobart kids scored so well on the test, an additional 10 students were allowed to compete in the individual portion of the competition. Hobart had three groups that competed in the team portion.
Angela Phillips won second place and Remington Taylor won third place in the individual competition. Two teams from Hobart tied for first place in the team competition.
The Hobart students really did an outstanding job and were well-prepared.
