Hobart schools start new Web Site
Hobart: Assistant Superintendent Peggy Buffington showed off the new Hobart schools Web site Thursday, and explained how it will benefit the community.
Buffington said she started the new site at Hobart.schoolwires.com because the previous site wasn't organized and didn't serve the school community well.
"It's been several years that I wanted to do it," Buffington said.
The new Web site offers several tools for parents, students, and faculty members, Buffington said.
One of the features allows parents and students to check their grades. The site also provides parents and students with useful information to help students be more productive in school.
Users can view updates on the high school construction project. Buffington said the site will be updated frequently with new information and pictures.
Some faculty members are using the site to post blogs and pictures of activities in the schools, she said.
She said there is also a special area specifically for faculty. Once signed into the area, faculty members can use a variety of features including discussion boards.
